How to : Add More Power to Recovery Console
By Using Group Policy in Windows XP Professional
The Windows XP Recovery Console is your last ditch effort at getting a
Windows XP Professional computer working after a disastrous system meltdown.
The Recovery Console doesn't come preinstalled. You need to install it after
Windows XP is up and running. The default Recovery Console configuration
leaves a lot to be desired. You can get around many of the default
limitations of the Recovery Console by taking advantage of Group Policy. You
can use Group Policy to allow wildcards in Recovery Console commands, allow
access to all drives and folders, and allow copy to floppy or other removable
media. For all the details click here.
